Meet Gaelle Broad
Member for Northern Victoria
Gaelle Broad has lived and worked in the Northern Victoria Region for over 20 years and has extensive experience working in government, business, and the media.
Gaelle grew up on a third-generation farm in the Yarra Valley, and her educational qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Communications from Monash University and Master of Public Policy from the University of Melbourne.
Prior to entering parliament, Gaelle managed a team at one of Australia’s largest regional banks, delivering industry programs and disaster recovery funding to regional communities.
Gaelle has worked in local, state and federal government, including the office of former Federal Treasurer Peter Costello MP, and Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie.
As a former ABC radio presenter, Gaelle understands the importance of sharing local stories and giving people a voice.
Gaelle has been married for over 20 years and has three children, and understands the many challenges that families face.
Gaelle is committed to advocating for the people of Northern Victoria, and focused on planning for regional growth, business, education and healthcare.
As a member of the Upper House, Gaelle understands the need to maintain transparency and accountability in government, and support informed public debate.
Gaelle has been actively engaged in the local community as a volunteer, and is committed to building local communities and seeing Northern Victoria prosper.
